Introducing A New Way to Buy and Sell Gently Used Dancewear

At Forté, we know the passion, precision, and performance that go into dance. We also know how quickly dancers outgrow or change up their wardrobes. That’s why we’re thrilled to introduce the Forté Dancewear Exchange — a new consignment program designed to give your gently used dancewear a second chance to shine while helping you save and earn!

What is the Forté Dancewear Exchange?

The Forté Dancewear Exchange is a consignment opportunity for dancers and dance families to buy and sell new or gently used performance wear. Instead of letting barely worn leotards and pricey sets collect dust, consign them to earn some of that investment back. Or shop the Exchange section to find great deals on high-quality dancewear for your next convention, audition, or class.

How It Works To Sell

Forté Dancewear Exchange offers a 60/40 split: you earn 60% of the sale price, while Forte retains 40% for managing the consignment process. The item’s sale price is based on product condition, demand, and current retail value. Expect the consignment price to be approximately 40-55% of the original retail price.

To consign your dancewear, you’ll complete a Consignment Agreement and a detailed form outlining your item’s condition and specifications. Make sure your items are cleaned and laundered, and in performance-ready condition — no stains, snags, or tears. Tags must be visible, so buyers know the item’s brand and sizing.

Once your item sells, you’ll receive your commission! Commission payments can come in the form of a check or a credit to be applied to a future purchase at Forté. Items will be held for up to six months and Forté will accept no more than six items per seller at any one time.

• Crop/Bra Tops
• Jumpsuits/Unitards
• Leggings
• Leotard
• Tanks
• Wide Leg Dance Pants or Joggers

• Blue Water
• Five The Label
• Jo+Jax
• Kandi Kouture (sets or leotards only, no individual pieces)
• Tiger Friday

**Note: brief style bottoms will only be accepted as part of a matching set
